How to apply to SACAT

All applications to SACAT are made online. You may use a computer, tablet or a smartphone.

What do I need to provide?

When applying, make sure you have read the supporting materials about your issue or dispute.

Fees

An application fee will usually apply but may be waived in certain circumstances.

By phone

You can submit applications over the phone with the help of a Tribunal Case Officer during business hours.

In person

Applications can be lodged at the SACAT reception - with help from SACAT staff.

SACAT is located at 100 Pirie Street. Our registry is open from 9am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

What happens next

Once you have successfully lodged your application and paid your fee (or your fee has been waived) you and the other parties will be notified about the conference or hearing.

SACAT will tell you the time, date and place of the session.

This may be by email, fax or you may receive a notice in the post. If the matter is urgent, a SACAT officer may contact you by phone to notify you of the hearing details.
